Grateful

Hey Carter. Well I am once again so very grateful today. I'm grateful for many reasons. I am grateful for another good appointment at the doctor today. Your little brother/sister is doing quite well. It's such a relief!

I am grateful for my doctor who is once again a wonderful person and takes great care of me. I am grateful for the prayers and well-wishes of family and friends throughout this pregnancy. It's humbling. I've been telling some more people at work today and I have gotten many smiles and promises for prayers. I'm just grateful.

Life is such a gift, Carter. Tomorrow is your friend James' first birthday. His poor mommy is really struggling with that. I can't even imagine what I'll be like once your birthday comes along. I guess there's no sense in worrying about it though. Will you please do me a favor though? Will you please have lots of fun with James and all of your friends tomorrow? I'm sure it will help for his family to know that he is being well cared for on his special day.

Well, I have written about a lot of things I am grateful for in life right now. I want you to know though that you are right at the top of that list. I am so grateful to have you for a son. You continue to show me your love every day of my life.

As a matter of fact, your daddy and sister stopped at the park on their way home from our doctor's appointment today and your sister got to chase you around for a little while.

See, she is loving chasing the geese and it made me smile to think about her chasing you around the park this morning! :) Thank you for showing yourself to us today. It was so nice to have all of our family be a part of our exciting day. I love you Carter!
