Turn Around

Hey buddy, how's this for a quick turn around? I have been doing some thinking and some praying and have made some changes in just the time since I last wrote to you.

I deleted the countdown that I have been looking at every day for Abby's arrival.

I have made the conscious decision to live in today.

I got back from lunch with my friends (which I really needed) and looked up some verses on worry in the Bible and those helped a lot. And I chatted with a couple friends of mine who have lost babies and that helped too!

Here are the verses that changed me today though:

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? - Matthew 6:25-27

Today is what I have. Today is all I will ever have with Abby. It is all I will ever have with everyone I love.

So today, I am thankful that I have re-realized what a blessing today is.
